Curb Appeal

Curb appeal refers to how appealing a home or property is from the perspective of a passerby who is standing ‘at the curb’. Any passerby may be a customer, either a resident of the community or a prospective resident. The appeal of your apartment community can be the deciding factor in whether you gain or keep a resident. Curb appeal training includes thinking about how every aspect of your community will appear upon closer inspection. In this series, our game show host David will lead you through a series of curb appeal challenges to improve your curb appeal skills. Are you a Rookie, Pro, or Legend? The only way to find out is to play the game! Each curb appeal training module is approximately 3-8 minutes.  Available in Spanish (S).

Curb appeal is how appealing a home or property is from the perspective of a passerby who is standing ‘at the curb’. It includes thinking about how every aspect of your community will appear upon closer inspection.

Creating and maintaining an appealing community is everyone’s job.

During this series, we will discuss how you can help improve your community’s appearance with consistent attention to detail.

First, we will evaluate what constitutes curb appeal from the outside, including landscaping, the building exterior, common areas, signage, and lighting.

Then we’ll assess curb appeal from the inside of our communities,  examining the leasing center, amenities, models, and mini-models.

Why is curb appeal important?

Any passerby may be a customer, either a resident of the community or a prospective resident. The appeal of your apartment community can be the deciding factor in whether you gain or keep a resident.

Landscaping is likely the first thing your customers will see. First impressions can make or break a sale, so it’s important that the landscaping makes a positive impression.
